On the first Friday of September, a hundred Komerční banka employees from all over the country went on their sixth bike ride. The route ran from Komerční banka’s headquarters in Prague’s Stodůlky to Karlovy Vary, with an overnight stay in Chomutov. 226 kilometers of beautiful route through Krušné hory, with a voluntary hike to Klínovec, awaited the participants. Every year, both experienced and recreational cyclists, novices, and regular participants participate in this event. How did they do? Watch the video of the ride.
“226 kilometers, 3,000 meters of elevation gain. Yes, it was for strong personalities and those who are not afraid to discover new chapters of self-discovery. Such a climb to Klínovec will simply test everyone. But the panoramas!” Jan Juchelka, CEO of KB, commented on this year’s ride in his post.
Thanks to the sharing of participants’ contributions on social networks, hundreds of payments from supporters and riders themselves arrived on the account of the Komerční banka Foundation. Komerční banka doubled the total proceeds from this year’s bike ride of more than 260,000 crowns, which means over half a million crowns to help child victims of violence through the LOCIKA Center.
In addition to charity bike rides and the September Bike to Work challenge, Komerční banka also supports an active autumn by participating in the Move for Youth challenge of its parent company Société Générale. Created in 2021, the challenge helps four charities changing the lives of young people in difficult situations. And we at Do práce na kole are proud that Komerční banka is our general partner!
